eyes_slide_showIt is said that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, true, but you need good eyes to appreciate the beauty as well! Good eye make up fashionistas sure know, but what about taking care of those pair of eyes?

Here are some of the ways all you guys should do to take care of your eyes:

Splash water in your eyes atleast three to five times a day – This is needed especially when you have long hours of work and are sitting in front of the computer. Take regular breaks from it and try this exercise. Hold a finger a few centimeters in front of your face; focus on the finger as you slowly move it away, focus on something far in the distance and then bring back on the finger; slowly bring the finger back towards your face. Now shift your focus to something farther than eight feel away and hold your eyes there for a few seconds. Repeat this exercise three times in a day.

Exercise every single day. Of course it builds muscle and gets you noticed but it also helps to relieve intraocular hypertension. Also, drink plenty of water. If you don’t, the body will try to retain all the water reserves that it has making your eyes look swollen. If your under eye area is puffy, get quick relief by placing chilled tea bags or cotton dabbed in ice cold milk. This reduces inflammation and puffiness. Eat lots of carrots, papaya, apricots, mangoes and spinach as these tend to be good for the eyes. Also, mix cardamom seeds with one teaspoon honey and chew it in the morning. This will strengthen your vision. Also, try yoga. Some of the asanas improve eye vision to a great extent

Makeover

Makeover is an innovative way to improve confidence. Social meetings, interaction and also daily routine handlings require a person to exude an impression and hence it is important to enhance the cosmetic aspect. Makeover does not be a contemplated move or prescribed at 40’s. A regular grooming and a bit of latest make up are more than sufficient to go in for a makeover effect.

Primarily it is important to refurbish your wardrobe factually. Anything that is faded, loose or totally out of fashion has to be discarded. It is important to segregate clothes are per casual, semi casual and formals. Ethnics and western outfits must be managed effectively. This gives us a clear idea about what to portray and hence facilitates better coordination with accessorizing and application of make up.

Hairstyle is the best way to change your look. Go in for a versatile cut that gives you the flexibility to change the hair partings and also allows you to engage in girlie head bands, tie ups and pins. This is the best way you can sport varied hairstyles that help you coordinate your outfit. Coloring of hair is another way to add youthfulness to the face. Along with coloring, hair care through moisturizing and conditioning is important for hair health.

Use your regular clothes by adding a belt or beaded jewelry that gives you a trendy look. Practice walking on pumps or boots well and use them appropriately to enhance your stride. Handbags and purses remarkably aid the style quotient. If you haven’t been using them make sure to buy them during the discount seasons.

Makeover has to be a gradual process and a drastic change is quite shocking. For the same engage in yoga-meditation to ensure the radiating glow that reflects your attitude.

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Every season is demanding for your skin. We need to care differently for our skins during winter and summer. The onset of summer often causes your skin to dry and if you are not careful enough chances of acquiring summer wrinkles are very high. This article will focus upon some natural tips so that you revive and maintain your beautiful complexion and wonderful appearance.

During the months of May and June, temperature is at its fiercest. The hot summer months take a heavy toll on your skin. The hit wind and drying effects of the sun requires you to take some care and precaution. The first suggestion is to apply moisturizing cream during night. This holds even greater significance if you are above 25. This will be very helpful in you maintaining that flawless complexion and youthful skin. You can always go for number of good moisturizing creams available in market but if you want to make your own then that’s also possible. Take 4-5 almonds and soak them in milk for one complete night. Peel and grind them into smooth paste next morning. Add two tablespoons of milk cream along with few drops of essence of rose. Your moisturizing cream is created.

For those who have greasy complexion, need to bathe their faces four to five times daily with clear water and a good soap. This will help in cleansing of grease glands. Use juice of sour lime and milk cream to open clogged pores. Excessive perspiration and body odor is another major problem during summers. To get rid of that, make sure to focus upon personal cleanliness. Bath twice daily and apply boric powder and talcum powder. Wear cotton materials. Apply ice cubes or cucumber for your eyes. Lastly pay special attention on personal hygiene and use quality deodorants.

Make up

Monday, May 18th, 2009

An essential part of confidence in any sphere is a good body language. Our facial features say a lot about our attitude and opinion. Hence it is important to care for our skin and hair with basic skills in application of make up. Choosing the right tone of make up is very important. Make up especially must suit Indian skin tones as many times the models appear with international concept where the skin type and tone is completely different to Asian skin.

Lipsticks are about subtle styles and flamboyance. The glamour of lipstick can be cultivated by choosing the right color. Going as per the skin tone and the shape of the lips, lip brushes are the best way to give a shape with a neat outline. Celebrities too change their looks emphasizing the shape of their lips, arch of the eyebrows and using different eye make up.

Mineral make up is the best choice and it also moisturizes the skin. Foundation is the best way to hide dark circles. Donning a base moisturizer is imperative before applying any kind of make up. Skin that is dark has a tone of its own. There are no restrictions about color here but coordination will be necessary.

Grooming is the routine concept before enhancing looks through make up. Bleach is a way to lighten facial hair and harsh chemicals must be avoided. Exfoliating is important to remove dead skin and also restore the glow. Scrubs are also found in reputed brands with peach, avocado, wheat germ or apricot extracts. They are gentle on the skin and also refreshing.

Investing in skin care is important and also a routine concept. Dry skin cakes up the make up and similarly oily skin leaks the make up. One must master the application of make up with lot of care and practice and understand the skin type. Experimenting with colors is sure fun and also a way to blend with the latest in make up fashion.
