Indian Fashion Trends for Women

India is a country with various cultures and traditions. All the states have their own peculiarity, be it draping of a sari or design of their jewelry. The main types of attires which are ordinarily used by the Indian women are mentioned below.

The first is the Indian Sari. This attire is preferred by most of the women in the Indian society. Each state has its own particular style of draping the sari. A sari is a large piece of cloth which can be draped in different styles depending the state you are in and also sometimes for different occasions. It portrays grace, beauty and value of customs. Even Indian brides choose to wear Sari for their marriages.

The Indian Kurti is another famous type of attire worn by Indian youth. Women wear these knee-length or short kurtis on churidars, skirts or pants. They are available in different colors, patterns, etc. keeping women of all ages in mind. It looks ethnic as well as pretty chic. During special occasions like marriages, engagements, traditional parties, etc; women wear Lehengas. They are either embroidered heavily or have heavy work of stones, beads, etc. They look very elegant and could be a little expensive as well depending on the amount of work you require.

Indian women also prefer wearing skirts. Especially long skirts and wrap rounds are most popular in Northern India. The new emerging trend is of wearing silk skirts with big floral prints on them. Fashion for Indian women would be incomplete without Indian jewelry. Bangles, golden earrings, anklets, etc. are very much well-liked. During weddings and special traditional occasions women prefer heavy set of earrings and necklace. Another accessory without which an Indian woman is incomplete is bindi. It is put on the forehead by the women which adds zing to their attire and makes them look more Indian. Trends keep on changing on a regular basis and eventually it all depends on the way you carry it.

A Sabyasachi saree is different and has a unique quotient to it, while a Satya Paul Saree would be colour-centric and pleasing to the eye that favours colour. Meanwhile you have not so high-end stores selling their special versions of the Indian Saree making it feasible to choose from various options and looks. When Priyanka Chopra Wore the gorgeous Saree in the song Desi-girl from Dostana, it looked sizzling on screen. It literally created a bigger stir than her swimsuit scene of the film. This goes to show that the Indian Saree concept is not drab, and it’s not overtly traditional any longer either. It has taken a turn and today, the saree is embodied internationally as well. Denims as a fashion are just not restricted to adults. There is a whole range in denims made for winter wear for children. Winter is the most awaited season of the year. We usually wonder what to wear during winters. Strappy and skin show is so not happening. Then how do we look good? Is there any scope for fashion? Can I look stylish? The answer to this is YES you can!

Nowadays, winter is one of the most stylish seasons. Long skirts, Full sleeves dresses, boots, stylish sweaters, scarves, shirts, sweat shirts, hoodies should all be a part of your wardrobe for this season.

Skinny jeans are in throughout, and no they are not going anywhere this season as well. They are a necessity for every woman! You can team them up with fitted t-shirts, jackets, coats or event sweat shirts. You can add to your style by wearing a scarf or a stole with contrasting bright colours.

Coming to footwear, do away with the strappy sandals. Ankle length boots are the way to go this winter. If you are wearing something really short and hot, you can even go in for the higher length boots, provided you can carry them off. If you are the calm, reserved and subtle types then you should play safe and go in for pumps or peep toes.

Blues and purples are the colours for this season. You can keep this in mind while shopping for accessories like rings, belts, chains, bangles, etc. Red and green being Christmas colours are also a pick for the season.

Winters are cold and hence covered is in vogue. Stylish sweaters and scarves can add to your apparel. Skin show is not the only way to look stylish and you got to prove that this winter.
