Preventing Split Ends

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Split ends is a major problem faced by many people. Hair care is a delicate issue and despite the onslaught of several hair care products, one cannot get rid of all the hair problems in a jiffy. Many products do help in bringing that shine and beauty to the hair but they also do not have answers to all the problems faced by hair. In such cases, it is better to take preventive measures. Split end is one of the most common problems. They harm in two different ways of damaging your hair and stunting the growth. They also cause rough hair. As suggested above, it is better if you take preventive measures well in advance.

The first thing you need to take care is of avoid using chemical ridden materials. Natural stuffs are always recommended for better hair. Chemical materials adversely affect hair texture in the long run. Swimmers often face problem of split ends because of chlorine in the water. For them, using swim cap or shampooing hair properly after the swim is strongly recommended. Water coming through your tap is full of chemicals and these cause split ends. Use filters to get better water and prevent your hair from getting split ends. Alternately, you can also use water softening system in the house.

Hair must be combed straight. Back-combing causes great damage to hair. One should not comb hair too much as it causes split ends. Just a fw times and it is more than sufficient. Try using a pick or wide-toothed comb that would be greatly beneficial for your hair. Be very gentle to your hair. Try wearing hat while you go out in sun because ultraviolet rays affect hair. You can also use a conditioner that suits your hair type and apply it before every outing. Avoid using artificial way of drying like hair dryer as they cause split ends.

Fashion Tips

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Fashion is an industry that keeps changing rapidly. Hence it is important that you keep yourself updated with new fashion of the season and its related colors.

Some of the common fashion tips that I can share are as follows:

    * If you are going to buy a new pair of shades for you, it is necessary that you know the shape of your face. If you have a round face, avoid wearing shades that are very big and round. Opt for shades that are sleek and rimless.

    * Remember to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful UV rays by wearing a minimum SPF 15 sunscreen every day.

    * While applying your eye liner or lip liner, make sure that it does not smudge across the eye. In case you feel this is happening shift to a liner that is liquid base. This will make sure that the liner does not smudge on the eye.

    * Most people do not take proper care of their nails. It is not necessary that you get expensive manicures and pedicures every week but soaking your hands in warm water, removing the dirt and moisturizing your nails is important. This can be done sitting at home as well.

    * Always keep a lip balm with you. This tip goes for guys as well. Applying lip balm will make sure that your lips are well moisturized.

Anti aging skin care

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Skin damage such as wrinkles, age spots and lines occur depending on the age, skin type, genetic makeup and sun exposure. Advances in skin care techniques have made it possible to minimize damages of the skin. Exfoliator, moisturizer, firming creams, revitalizing creams, vitamin pills sure costs a considerable amount from ones pocket.

Almonds, bananas, avocados, and coconuts are some of the foods that are used in correcting aging skin conditions. A healthy diet, daily exercise, stress management, and proper skin care will surely slower the rate of aging process.

Aging also affects the skin causing wrinkles on it. Looking young and fit has become the mantra for the modern age and hence more and more companies are luring women with their anti aging skin creams. Aging of the skin is mainly because of exposure to sunrays and loss of hormones. The absence of certain hormones is what causes sagging of skin. Even if it is not quite possible to stop the natural aging process, it can be delayed. Anti aging skin care treatment provides numerous options delay this process. It includes cosmetic surgery, medical treatments and anti aging creams as well. Apart from eating the right food and exercising regularly, the use of anti aging cosmetics products helps to certain extent.

Most women including some men too use anti aging skin care products. It is very essential to read about products before purchasing them. Some of the skin care products especially the anti aging creams are not suitable to sensitive skins. Infact for such type of skins, natural anti aging skin care product are also available in the markets that are quite safe.
