Party time

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

December is a time to let the hair down, unwind and just enjoy the bliss of being in the company of friends. Christmas parties are also getting thematic with the big motive to entertainment, game hosts and lots of merriment for all the party people to relax. Planning for a party is more about coordination. Browse through catalogues or ask your designer to get you a dress that is easy and yet stylish. Golden or sequined dresses are very much in vogue.

The length of frocks this season is more of the thigh length but the stop-at-the knee skirts or frocks also are style quotients. Go for a broad belt if you wish to accentuate your waist. Slim is in and this can be brought in with colors like mauve, violet and brows. Off shoulder ones are comfy and single strapped broached ones are also getting popular. The very high heels are very much acceptable and yet one can do with the strappy styles for the beach party.

If you are using your Valentine dress then get a new set in jewelry or go in for the designer clutch purse. Roomy and easy to handle tote bags are also party sections. For people who have a petite figure there are great many hues in yellows, aqua blue and jersey frocks that are stretchable and accentuate the seams. If the party is informal then the little black dress with yoke halter is the best bet. Mingle some beady pearly sets in peach or pink to offset the simple short black dress.

If prom style party wear is decided to welcome 2010, and then invest in the beaded gowns, trail gowns and the colors seem appealing in navy blue, reds and crimsons. Glitter is in and so are sequins. Do the same with make up to get the hint of glamour right. Go easy on the main pattern and yet do some sprinkled sequined-beads in the bodice or edges.

Embellishments are the main style this year end. Go in for a monotone dress or use striking two combo colors and assemble them with a proper cut. There are silhouette cuts, fish cuts, trimmed waistlines, princess lines for the formal New Year Eve party.
